Construction Laborer
As a well-respected, hardworking real estate development company serving the Roaring Fork Valley for 24 years, we are looking to add a Construction Laborer to the team to perform tasks involving physical labor at various construction job sites. The project portfolio would include multi-family units, offering work-life balance with career development opportunity and interactive relationships with our clients.

This job is located in Glenwood Springs, New Castle, and Carbondale. There will be no Up Valley travel involved.

Basic Job Description:
May operate hand and power tools of all types. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, bolt up clean up rubble and debris, and other materials. May assist other craft workers and superintendent. Work will be performed per the supervisor's instruction; some work may be performed without direct supervision. Applicants should be self-motivated, dependable and eager to learn the construction trades and services our company provides. This position can lead to training as an equipment operator for motivated candidates.

Qualifications
• Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Basic math skills and an understanding of construction math a plus. Construction experience a plus. Ability to run skidsteer, mini ex, and telehandler a plus.
• Must be 18 years in age or older.
• A minimum of 0-3 years of directly related experience in the construction field.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Must be physically fit to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (in excess of 50 lbs.).
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• The ability to comprehend and follow specific instructions.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.
• Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as being able to work independently with attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to learn to operate heavy and complex equipment requiring skill and the exercise of independent judgment.
Responsibilities
• Working cooperatively with crew to accomplish tasks;
• Maintaining tools, cords and equipment so that they are kept in good working order and are safe for use;
• Maintaining the work area(s) in a clean and orderly manner on a continuous basis;
• Consistently reporting for work on time and in appropriate attire;
• Assist in creating lists of materials, supplies, specialty tools and equipment (proactively) that are needed to perform the work;
• Make the Supervisor aware of any material, supply or other shortages on the job in a timely manner;
• Participating in training and other forms of development to strengthen technical, safety and other skills.
Expected Working Hours
Work hours will normally be Mon-Fri from 7am through 5pm. Hours may vary depending on time of year (daylight savings) and weather conditions.

Construction Superintendent

The project portfolio would include multi-family units, offering work-life balance with career development opportunity and interactive relationships with our clients.

This job is located in Glenwood Springs, New Castle, and Carbondale. There will be no Up Valley travel involved.
Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction supervision and management or post-secondary education

Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications

Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Projects and other tools our General Contractor uses

Ability to lift and carry 21 to 35 lbs

Ability to climb up and down and maintain balance on stairs, ladders and scaffolds while carrying tools and equipment
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of construction related technologies, quality activities and quality auditing
Responsibilities
-
Position will be a direct report to the General Contractor
-
Responsible for overall site management, coordination, and oversight of task orders assigned
-
Manage all activities including production, logistics, safety, and quality control for a project or one area of a large project
-
Maintains relationships with General Contractor, subcontractors, and design team
-
Responsible for trying to reduce costs on project, and meeting margin expectations
-
Product accurate schedules and manage subcontractors to meet that schedule, forecast labor needs, and holding subcontractor meetings on-site to prepare for mobilization
-
Responsible for reviewing and understanding all project documents including bid documents, specifications, and general conditions, in detail
-
Maintain quality by submitting job site pictures on a regular basis, striving for minimal punch list items, keeping as-built conditions current, and completing closeout promptly

Responsible for understanding and enforcing OSHA regulations, and keeping a safe and clean job site
-
Responsible for managing and overseeing onsite safety protocols.
